16 months till I'm 65. Goal is to be able to run a marathon by my 65th birthday. That's about 18 months. I'm going to run everyday with a goal of a minimum of 20 minutes, but for the first 8 months I will train specifically to walk a marathon. During the second 8 month period of time I will train for the run by gradually replacing the walking time with running time.
Frustrated today. Dogs everywhere! rainy and foggy and cool. I only ran 10 minutes and walked about 30. Hopefully before the end of the day I can walk more.

Ran at a new park
20 minutes
temp at 67 degrees Good run. It took a little effort so it's a B.
If I train on that course I should be able to run anywhere. Lots of hills.

Time to get serious
18 months till I'm sixtyfive. I'll pick a race and register at the end of 2011.
I've missed some running time because of the weather. And I've gained some weight.
Beginning today I'll keep a log and get serious about training.
Wednesday: Ran 20 minutes. Easy run no effort.
Thursday: 10 minutes and 5 sprints. Took some effort.
Friday: 40 minutes. Great run and the sun was shining. I almost got hot!
I've continued to run, but I've had periods of up to a week at a time that I didn't run because of snow or freezing weather. Hope to be a little more aggressive with the training and not let the weather keep me indoors.
